for those who dont know hollyoaks is a soap on television and this girl has a lovely tribal tattoo on het shoulder, i realy want one LIKE it, not the same. just using that design but working around it to personalise it to me. what do u think of it? im not copying it off her, plus its not even real anyway, its just airbrushed on her. will i get it or not? iv liked it for ages.
hello , i am a profesional tattoo artist ,this year “08″ is my 20th year in the trade ill try to not be rude in answering your question and at the same time give you some sound advise on what your gonna wanna say to the tattooist when and if you go to a shop to have it done, firstly saying to an artist “I want this tattoo, but not like this tattoo” is extreemly frustrating to the artist realy so dont do that if you want the artist to be helpfull and polite,the best thing to do is go to a shop look around and find something similar and then ask the artist if he/she could maybe spice up the design for you some. Much better than telling an artist “I want this , but not this”and as far as copying someones tattoo dont sweat that, the artist will do the tattoo his way makeing it diferent than this hollyoaks, simply because no 2 tattoos are identical ,dif artist ,diferent style diferent technique as well as the fact that tattooing is so mainstream that even if you designed your own piece , you could prolly find someone wearing something close to what you have,if you get tattooed just make sure you like the design and your comfortable with the artist a good one will draw you the piece on paper to show you what it will look like on skin before actualy tattooing it on you.Good luck hope i was helpfull and ahh …dont be a chicken , if you realy want it , go for it , its only your skin and if you go to reputable studio youll probably be very happy with you choice to be tattooed,i could go on and on but im gonna shut up now

Text Tattoos Becoming More Popular
To be frank I didn’t really think about text tattoos as they call them being all that popular. But once I sat back and started thinking about it, I started to realize that a lot of famous people do have some sort of text tattoo on their body. In case you are wondering what a text tattoo is, it is some sort of writing that one has tattooed on them. A lot of tattoo artist say that they are getting more and more request from clients to have some sort of saying, quote, name, poem or other kind of writing tattooed on them. Also note that even if the tattoo is not in English it is still considered a text tattoo.
Let’s think about this for a minute. Can you name I don’t know 5 or 10 celebrities that have text tattoos off the top of your head? I bet I can. Let’s see, Angelina Jolie, Christina Aguilera, Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson, Heidi Klum, Travis Barker, Eva Longoria Parker, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox, Rihanna and the list goes on and on. So this just goes to show that text tattoos are very popular with famous people so I’m sure they are as equally popular with us regular folk. In case you were wondering most of these celebrities do have sayings tattooed on them in different languages, but none the less it is still considered text because it translates into words.
So if you have been thinking about getting some sort of text tattoo, don’t worry you are not the only one out there that will be displaying one. Just make sure that it is something unique and means something special to you. Don’t just get something random tattooed on you.

Tattoo Coloring, Help?
So I’ve adapted and re-designed a tattoo that I absolutely LOVE, but now I’m wondering about the color of it. I thought a soft pink and white for the leaves, and a brown for the pencil-colored part of the fox/dog (many people see different animals). To me, its a dog, but whatever.
