Any idea what to add on my Koi fish tattoo?
I have a Koi Fish tattoo on my shoulder / upper arm.
I want to make a half sleeve, but i want to make it more masculin rather than having a Lotus flower.
Any idea what to add??
My Koi fish tatt is orange and has a blue Japanese wave with pink Cherry blossom.

I have a half sleeve that ‘s being finished. Yesterday, I went to have the background (black) done and one of the flowers.
It’s still not finished.
My question is: Is it common for the tattoo to not look polished. The shading looks uneven and patchy in areas and it doesn’t have that crisp look that i’ve seen in magazines. I’m wondering if this is just how it looks at first. Again, I just got it yesterday but i’m on the verge of bailing on my artist to let a more experienced artist finish it.
Should I wait until it heals or bail?
Wait for a while. The detailed shading usually goes in last. How is his portfolio looking in the studio? Many comparable images??? Ask gentle questions – no busting at the moment.
Patchy could be your skin reacting to the ink – 2 weeks is a better time to look at the ‘wonkiness’ of the shading.
Relax, there is always more time than you think. Where is the studio? Who is the artist?
