yakuza tattoos meaning
about tattoos in Japan.. honestly?

ok so ive heard that people with heavy tats are really looked down on in most of japan? ive read its because of yakuza? (pardon my spelling) i understand that its a gang related thing yes? but wouldnt it be viewed differantly on someone who is obviously NOT japanese? im a white guy here, i would guess it would be looked at differently coz id think people realize that its not the same way for americans. hmm or would most japanese still find it a bit scary? whats your thoughts on that? i mean really im not gangster, im just a rocker, im harmless. i just tend to like really loud rock n roll hahaha

No, it’s fine.
I’ve been there a few different times and one of the kids in our group had some. They seemed more awed than disgusted. They kept asking questions and called it “very cool”.
But keep in mind, those were teenagers and college students, not adults.

IREZUMI proves their strong determination to leave the civilian world forever. Unlike tattoos, Irezumi is not a joke.
